As an occupational health service provider, we like to support your company with the safety of your employees as much as possible. A risk assessment is the process of identifying a known hazard and determining the risk of that hazard to an individual (employee).
Risk assessments are usually carried out internally by health and safety leaders, who have their own risk assessment processes. As a result of these risk assessments, you may identify the need for occupational health services, such as health surveillance or DSE services. We provide risk assessment resources for guidance purposes, but if you need help with the assessments, you can speak to us and we can discuss supporting you with these.

One of the areas that we help identify risk to pregnant women is through a pregnancy risk assessment. We have a generic risk pregnancy risk assessment available on our free downloadable resource page that identifies as many different workplace hazards that we can reasonably include. You are welcome to download this for use in your own company and adjust it to your own requirements or we can come and do the assessment for you.
A risk assessment provides a thorough look at your workplace to identify those things, situations, processes, etc. that may cause harm, particularly to people. After identification is made, you analyze and evaluate how likely and severe the risk is. When this determination is made, you can next, decide what measures should be in place to effectively eliminate or control the harm from happening.
